There's a really funny,but all so familiar commercial on the air with a little boy who is afraid of public speaking. I find the best way to do any type of public speaking with confidence is to tap into your authentic self. Even if your presentation isn't perfect, that's okay because it will connect with your hearers, and that's the most important issue; effectiveness not perfection is what really matters. This is why it's important to discover your personal brand!

Professional Networking?

What do we all think about professional networking? Is it something you like to do or not? Some may think it isn't necessary. Some may not know how to do it. I say it's essential for business, career, and personal development. What I mean by "professional networking" is strategic and well thought out plans to talk and share with the right people that God has for you, and not passing out hundreds of business cards to uninterested people.

No Pain, No Gain

The old adage of no pain, no gain is true. I've come to not only know this, but appreciate it. Anything in life that's worth having, is worth the fight and the hard work. The best and most successful business, brands, and people know that to get the job done, it's no cake walk. It's an uphill battle that's not for the quitter. No matter if it's building your business, losing weight, saving money, or building relationships, it takes work. Work, yes, but the benefits are so worth it!
